paper-cutes

happy new year everyone. i hope you all had wonderful festive times.
the last few months of 2011 were so manic, i felt i was on catch-up the whole time, hence the lack of posts.
just wanted to share a couple of crafty projects. one that i just about managed to squeeze in before crimble & two that are my first craftings of twenty-twelve.

this is a paper-cut that i did for my grandparents' christmas present - they are triksy to buy for & totally love all things nature, so this seemed the perfect solution. it's my first attempt since sd & i went on a little course at the make lounge, which feels like a gazillion years ago.
anyway, for my first attempt i am pretty hap-happy & they were just over-joyed:

the second projects were totes inspired by the lovely work of beanie&bon who makes these gorgeous framed paper-cuts with vintage fabric:

i picked up this gold frame at a charity shop months ago & hadn't got round to replacing the revolting picture that it came with so i headed out to the liberty sale & picked up this super-cute fabric:

and this is a frame i have made for my dear friend martha, whose baby girl eva sunshine was born on the 4th january

yay - so happy to be back to doing crafty bits & pieces. i've made loads of wholeclock cards too & am very keeno to start trading at markets to earn some pocket-pennies. if anyone has deets of london based marches then please do let me know.

bye for now

ps - beanie&bon takes personalised commissions - so please do drop her a line if you are interested in a frame of your very own, or for someone else; they make perfect presents...
