jour de marché

we had super-good-fun at the hackney handmade & vintage market on saturday. we weathered all the seasons in just one day but the sun eventually came out & the shoppers did too.
we met some really lovely people. this is the pearly king & queen of hackney; the pearly queen of hommerton didn’t want to be photographed as she didn’t have her hat on.

this nice man was called peter & he just looked do dapper:

this mini stall was called ubsiquitous bakehouse – this lady has this uber gorgeous trunk, which she packs full of goodies & then sets up at market. she said that she didn’t have a car so she just packs her case & off she goes…

here’s a snap of my stall & of s.d’s gorgeous fabrics – there is vintage william morris & liberty prints in there...

& finally, my favourite thing of the day:

s.d gave me a lovely ‘H’ which belonged to her grandma, who was also called hannah. i love it sd & will look after it forever! thank you. xxxxx

i love betty a whole clock

today was supposed to be dedicated to crafting prep for market day next weekend...

however...via pretty much penniless blog, i have discovered betty magazine & have spent the last hour pouring over it with an endless supply of tea:

super-cute publication & a lovely new blog to add to my ever-growing list. there is an interview with the girls who run drink shop do, in king's cross - which is most defo worth a visit. i'm quite jelly that they're living their dream - i would very much like to craft all day & still be able to pay the bills...

happy weekend xxx
