on sunday i took the train to crystal palace to meet my lovely friend & personal se19 tour guide caro. we were on a mission to explore the vintage delights that the south east has to offer & explore them we did. first stop: haynes lane market, which is an aladdins cave of treasure. i was so overwhelmed with it's amazingness that i neglected to really take any photos but within about 17 minutes i was two purchases in...more on those later.
then we pottered round the 'triangle' an area peppered with vintage homeware & clothing shops. the most inspiring & well stocked was crystal palace antiques market. check out the gorgeous enamel lampshades with the huge clock in the background, oh and the cutest hand-made bears...i thought they looked like they were in a band.

it was such a hot sunny day, i honestly felt like i was on holiday. we stumbled across a cutesey little craft market in a pub garden & there was one particular stall that i really impressed with. a lovely lady called donna who was selling amongst other things beutifully finished bunting, totes & handmade cards...
i can so recommend a trip to crystal palace, just twenty minutes on the train from victoria, it seems to be an untapped source for treasure & prices are cheap as chips...here are my spoils from the day:
firstly, this amazing record player for just £25. all our our records apart from this one are in storage & i can confirm that rod has never sounded so good.
and this very handsome suitcase for all jb's shoes, a second bargain at just £12
thanks caro for a perfect day!
Amazing finds! I must check out Crystal Palace!
